Lincoln Square is one of Chicago's most charming neighborhoods: a walkable stretch of Lincoln Avenue with old-world bakeries, cafƩs and music venues, surrounded by blocks of brick bungalows, greystones and vintage two-flats. It offers a slower pace than neighborhoods closer to downtown while keeping the Brown Line just a few blocks away. Camille Canales Group has closed 27 buyer and seller transactions in the 60625 zip code, which covers Lincoln Square and neighboring Ravenswood Manor and Albany Park.
Below you'll find our recent Lincoln Square sales, what we're seeing in the market, what clients say about working with us, and answers to the questions we hear most often.
Lincoln Square's housing stock is mostly early 20th-century: Chicago bungalows, greystones and two-flats on the residential side streets, vintage courtyard condo buildings near Lincoln and Western, and larger single-family homes in Ravenswood Manor along the river. That mix gives buyers more options than many North Side neighborhoods, from a first condo to a single-family home with a yard.
In our own deals across 60625, condos have typically sold from the low $200,000s to the mid $400,000s, while single-family homes have sold from roughly $670,000 to $825,000. Prices generally run below Roscoe Village, which is a big reason buyers moving up from a condo farther south often land here.
Because the housing varies so much, from a one-bedroom condo to a renovated bungalow, pricing depends on the building, the block and recent comparable sales. We pull those comparables for every client before setting a list price or writing an offer.
"What we like best about Camille is her approach. She always puts the client first, not the close. Camille provided us a 'white glove' approach, and we were not the easiest of clients. I'm analytical and risk-averse, so I ask tons of questions and send lots of emails. Camille either knew the answers or brought in the right experts. It really put us at ease. Her team shares her values, so whenever we worked with them, it felt like we were working with Camille herself. I can't recommend her enough!"

Camille Canales founded the team and personally guides the strategy on every Lincoln Square deal. For buyers, that means answering every question, bringing in the right inspectors, lenders and attorneys, and helping you understand what a vintage home will need. For sellers, it means pricing against the right comparable sales and marketing your home to buyers already looking in the neighborhood. Behind her is a full team of Compass agents, transaction coordinators and marketing staff who share her approach, so clients get the same level of service at every step.
The heart of the neighborhood is the stretch of Lincoln Avenue around Giddings Plaza, with its German-heritage shops and restaurants, independent bookstores and the Old Town School of Folk Music. The area hosts popular seasonal festivals, and Welles Park and Winnemac Park give residents room for sports, playgrounds and summer events. To the west, Ravenswood Manor's quiet streets back onto the North Branch of the Chicago River.
Getting around is easy. The Brown Line stops at Western, Damen and Montrose, with a direct ride to the Loop, and Lake Shore Drive and the Edens Expressway are each a short drive away. Considering nearby Roscoe Village, Irving Park or Lake View too? Start with our Chicago neighborhoods guide.
It depends on the type of home. In our deals across 60625, condos have generally sold from the low $200,000s to the mid $400,000s, and single-family homes from about $670,000 to $825,000. Renovated homes and those in Ravenswood Manor can sell higher.
Mostly vintage housing: Chicago bungalows, greystones and two-flats, plus courtyard condo buildings and some newer construction. Many buyers are drawn to the bungalows for their character and manageable size, while two-flats offer a path to rental income.
The Brown Line runs from the Western, Damen and Montrose stations straight into the Loop in about half an hour. Drivers can reach Lake Shore Drive or the Kennedy and Edens expressways in a few minutes.
Lincoln Square is mainly in 60625, which also includes Ravenswood Manor and Albany Park.
