DID YOU KNOW?
Logan Square has been drawing in people for years with green spaces, boulevards, and great urban vibes. Strewn with lots of trees and grassy boulevards, Logan Square is an oasis of greenery, making you almost forget you’re in the city!
Locals love to spend time at its many green parks including the monument right on the square, called the ”Illinois Centennial Memorial Column” and has sculptural reliefs designed by one of the US’s first recognized female sculptors, Evelyn Beatrice Longman.
This symbolic monument located at the center of the neighborhood was designed by Henry Bacon, the same architect who created the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C., and is a testament to Logan Square’s significant architectural heritage.
